MiningRS3 Ironman Mining Training Guide

Ore box + rockertunities. Feeds Smithing 1:1.

Mining goes to level 110. Every method below is self-sufficient: no Grand Exchange, only what you gather, craft or earn yourself.

Training path

3 stages from level 1, each starting at the level you unlock it.

  1. Levels 1–60

    Copper/tin → iron (drop or box) → coal → mithril/luminite

  2. Levels 60–90

    Orichalcite + drakolith (60 → orikalkum bars), then phasmatite (70 → necronium)

    Feeds your burial Smithing 1:1

  3. Levels 90–110

    Light/dark animica (90 → elder rune) or Seren stones in Prif (AFK); primal ores from 100

    Trahaearn VoS +20%; Mining caps at 110

What Mining unlocks for an Ironman

Gear and quality-of-life items from our gear progression and utility lists that need a Mining level.

  • 60

    Dragon pickaxe

    Quality of life

    The mid-game pickaxe, and the base item for the crystal and Imcando pickaxes. (Orikalkum pickaxe + 3 has identical stats if you can smith it.)

  • 80

    Imcando pickaxe

    Quality of life

    Tier 80 pickaxe (a step above crystal) with no Prifddinas requirement. The dragon pickaxe must first be gilded by the Liquid Gold Nymph in the Lava Flow Mine.

Voice of Seren

Mining is boosted in the Trahaearn district of Prifddinas. When the Voice of Seren is active there, Mining training in the district earns +20% XP, as does Smithing. See which districts are active now.
